There are several major routes that will take you into Bognor Regis by car, many of which come into the town via the main A27, which runs parallel with the coastline and along the bottom of the beautiful South Downs.
If you’re coming directly from the north, it’s a great opportunity to take in the views of this lovely National Park before making your way to the coast. Once through the South Downs, Bognor Regis is clearly signposted.
When coming from the west, follow the M27, which turns into the A27 near Portsmouth. Follow the A27 until you get to Chichester and then take the A259, signposted for Bognor Regis.
When coming from an easterly direction, you can stop for a wander around historic Arundel and its castle, which is just off the A27, before turning south towards the coast. Depending on which route you take, you will travel through several attractive villages such as Ford, Climping, Felpham, Yapton, Aldingbourne, Barnham and Fontwell before arriving at Bognor Regis.
Trains to Bognor Regis are run by Southern Rail – a service which offers routes between London and the South of England. You can get to and from destinations all over Sussex and Hampshire with this handy network of rail routes which spread across the counties.
When you arrive at the Bognor Regis station, it is just a 10-minute walk from the amusement arcades, shops, restaurants, hotels and beaches of the seafront Esplanade.
The ticket office is open until 19:45 from Monday to Saturday and until 19:45 on Sunday. Ticket machines are also accessible outside these hours.
